Nakamura, Akimoto (Finished) 115540673262235997pn0yq6

~Your Information~

~Basic Info~

Weight: 140 lbs
Hair Color and Style: Blonde, Messy

~Tech~
Tech 1: The first piece of technology that Akimoto has is a very small machina. It is about the size and shape of a golf tee. The metallic spike is very sharp on the pointed end, allowing the maximum penetration. To properly use the machina hidden within the spike, it must hit an opponent an pierce their skin. Once it does, the chemical make-up of the opponent's blood activates the programming. The point of the spike is in actuality the tips of the 'feet' of the little machina, and they pull the rest of the spike into the body of the foe.

Once inside, the spike opens itself up, making itself almost like a thin wire more than a spike. The wire inserts itself into a blood vessel, and proceeds to work its way up into the skull, where it nestles itself around the Somatosensory and Insula areas of the brain. Whenever the foe attempts to use any sort of magic, the machina is alerted and trips the pain sensors in these area. The higher the level of magic, the more pain felt. The key is that no pain is actually being created, just perceived. All the pain felt is in the head, and therefore the more intense the pain, the higher likelihood that the afflicted person will lose focus, falter in their motor skills, and in cases where major magic was attempted, lose consciousness.

Aside from the initial puncture wound, no actual damage is being caused. The puncture itself is very minor, and will not affect the battle in any way. The pain felt by the foe is purely sensory misfires. The only damage dealt by this tech is the damage the person may cause to themselves in order to remove the machina.

That brings us to removal of the mechanism. Due to the way the machina places itself in the brain, any attempt at physical removal of the device would be fatal. The only way the device can be removed is by a recall via Akimoto. If this happens, the wire-like device unwraps itself and follows the blood vessel that brought it to the brain, back to the original entry point. Once removed, the person is free to cast magic however they see fit, with no fear of pain from the device.

(Technicalities of the Machina)
If Akimoto dies while the device is in place, it stays in place. All attempts at magic will result in pain. There may be ways to remove the device discovered at a later date, but for the time being, the afflicted person is doomed.

If the device is removed, but the time since entry has been too great (months) Conditional Training takes effect. Much like Pavlov's dogs, who salivated at the ringing of a bell due to the training they received, (food being brought at the sound of the bell) the afflicted person will still feel pain whenever magic is used on their part. It will be about half as painful as if the device was in place, but the effect is still present.

Akimoto only has one of this machina, and therefore it can only be in one thread at a time.

Tech 2: To be created via RP

Normal Weapons: Akimoto carries two wakizashi which rest in sheaths horizontally behind his back. The two hilts point outward, that way he can draw a blade with each hand. Each blade is about 18 inches in length, and the hilts are very plain. The fabric on each of the hilts is black in color, and the sheathes are black as well. The blades themselves are very standard. Akimoto tries to not draw attention to himself and tries to keep his weapons by the same standard. When he weilds them in combat, he holds the blades in reverse. The edge of each blade is pointed away from him. The blade itself runs along his arm, however. The tip of each blade (if he has his arms at his sides) comes to about his mid-bicep. The blades are used when his Machina fail him, and he has trained himself to avoid prolonged combat. When the blades are drawn, Akimoto becomes a very efficient fighter.

~History~
Mother: Kumiko Nakamura
Father: Sho Nakamura
Siblings: Nona
Other Relations: None
Pets: None
Background: Growing up, Akimoto had a very rough life. He lived in the poorest part of his town, where his small family barely scraped by. He learned very quickly to treasure everything he had, that every single thing had a purpose, and nothing was “waste”. His father one day walked into his room and asked him why he had containers full of trash. Aki's reply was simply that he didn't see trash, just materials he hadn't found a use for yet. One of Akimoto's hobbies as a child was tinkering. He loved taking the scraps that he could obtain and making little machina out of them. He never had enough materials to give his little creations more than one program, and eventually, when he did have the supplies, he simply became very efficient at making that singular program as productive as possible.

Once he was old enough to take care of himself, Aki went out and found himself a job as a message runner. For all the technology the world had, there were far too many people that knew how to manipulate it for electronic messages to be secured. Aki made himself work at being the best runner there was, training himself to be extremely fast and agile. He learned how to leap over obstacles, and saw all possible courses of movement. Eventually he figured out how to climb buildings via ledges and windows. Efficiency in this activity mad onlookers believe he was simply running up the side of the building.

Once he made enough money to rent out a small space to live, he began collecting materials for his tinkering. Every day that he had a spare moment was spent tinkering. Learning new methods to preform the same actions, etc. His one-program machina became so efficient that they never needed a source of power. They generated their own power simply by running their program. One machina he made a program he designed to communicate. It sat on his table and made small talk with him, in the form of clicks and clacks. Aki understood the language (as he created it) and could respond in a normal language. The machina understood common tongues and communicated very well with everyone. Not that anyone could understand it without Aki present. Akimoto named the little machina T-13, but affectionately referred to it as 'Taro'.

~Personality~
Likes: Tinkering, Parkour
Dislikes: Magic, Rich People
Strengths: Perseverance, Dexterous Hands
Weaknesses: Over-Analytical, Anti-Social

~RP Sample~
The apartment door had not opened in over a week. Days of work had been missed. The cabinets were barren. Not even crumbs were left. He had barely moved this entire time. His masterpiece was at hand. Years of tinkering and building machina had all led up to this. A very small chunk of metal. No...chunk was not the right word. It was far too beautiful for that.

It was more like a piece of perfection.

The singular program inside this device was not simple at all. In fact it was probably the most complex program he had created. It had taken him days upon days to think up this idea, and even longer to try and figure out how it could work. Once he did, he began his work, barely ever moving from his chair. He had lost fifteen pounds, barely eating due to his extreme focus. This program was the culmination of all he had ever learned. Yet, for all of its functions, for all of its capabilities, the entire thing could be summed up in one word.

Speech.

He had developed a program that would understand speech. Not just understand it, but respond. Communicate. It would not talk, but instead speak in a sort of code, using percussive noises. Tightening the last infinitesimal screw, the final test was at hand. The deranged man sitting at the workbench stood up for the first time in over sixteen hours. Looking at the egg-shaped device, he contemplated all the work that had gone into it, all the time, blood, sweat, tears... He thought about all the work he had missed, how he was going to be late on rent again, how he might be evicted this time... Was it worth it?

Clearing his throat, the man spoke, “T-13, activate.”

Seams in the previously flawless egg appeared. Three talon-shaped legs extended out, and lifted the machina up off the ground about an inch. The entire process took a mere five seconds, but to this man it seemed like an eternity. A series of clicks and clacks was heard, obviously coming from the device. The man responded, “Nakamura Akimoto. Creator.” More clicking emanated from the egg.

Tears welled up in the man's eyes.

“It is a pleasure to meet you too...”
